What is my IP address?

Your Internet Protocol address (or, "IP Address") is the standard way of identifying a computer that is connected to the internet, much the way a telephone number identifies a telephone on a telephone network. The IP address is four numbers separated by periods, and each number is less than 256, for example, "192.168.1.1" and "no-cache" (your IP). Every computer connected to the Internet is assigned a unique address. Since these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country from which a computer is connecting to the Internet. Your country is based upon your current IP numbers.
